Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) revealed yesterday its comprehensive 2030 sustainability plan, which aims to consolidate its leadership role in responsible energy production and enhance its permanent commitment to environmental conservation.

ADNOC plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 25% by 2030, and to reduce the proportion of freshwater consumption in its operations to less than 0.5% of total water use.

She affirmed her commitment to support and protect biological diversity in the terrestrial and marine ecosystems in Abu Dhabi and all the areas in which they operate, and planted 10 million seedlings of "Crimean" trees in the Al Dhafra region. And the "Crimean" trees have great ability to absorb carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases and store them in the submerged soil.

We are continuing to work to enhance our environmental performance in what we seek to expand our operations to ensure our ability to save more energy, while maintaining a reduction in the level of greenhouse emissions for decades to come. ”
