Abu Dhabi Statistics Center reported that Saudi Arabia ranked first in the list of largest commercial partners of Abu Dhabi during the first 10 months of last year, with a total of 45 billion and 615 million dirhams.

The report issued by the center yesterday, on the Abu Dhabi foreign trade under the title «October 2019», that the value of foreign trade through the emirate's outlets reached 176.1 billion dirhams during the period between January and October last, including 85.3 billion dirhams in imports, and 47 billion dirhams in exports other than Oil, and 43.8 billion dirhams the value of the re-exported.

According to Abu Dhabi Statistics, industrial supplies accounted for the largest share of merchandise exports during the first 10 months of 2019, with a total of 36.4 billion dirhams, followed by food and beverages with five billion dirhams, then consumer goods with 2.8 billion dirhams.

With regard to re-exporting, transportation equipment, parts and accessories came first with 20.1 billion dirhams, followed by consumer goods with a value of 8.2 billion dirhams, then productive goods except transport equipment with a total of 8.1 billion dirhams.

As for imports, industrial supplies acquired the largest share by about 36 billion dirhams, then transport equipment, parts and accessories totaling 19.9 billion dirhams, and then production goods, excluding transport equipment, with a value of approximately 12.7 billion dirhams.

Statistics revealed that Abu Dhabi's exports of iron and steel increased by 29% during the first 10 months of last year, compared to the same period in 2018, as it rose from 1.928 billion dirhams to 2.489 billion dirhams. The emirate's exports of vehicles, excluding locomotives and railways, increased by 37% during the same period, up from 255.2 million dirhams to 349.8 million dirhams.

Industrial supplies accounted for the largest share of merchandise exports.
