This Monday is the third day of mourning in Iran and the last phase of tributes to Qassem Soleimani with his burial in his hometown of Kerman. On Saturday and Sunday, impressive rallies took place in several Iranian cities, notably in Tehran to salute the memory and the action of General Qassem Soleimani and his companions, killed in a targeted attack during the night of Thursday to Friday in Baghdad.

According to images from state television , a large crowd is currently marching to Kerman to salute the memory of General Soleimani, whose coffin arrived last night in the city where he was born, reports our correspondent in Tehran, Siavosh Ghazi .

Yesterday Monday, several million Iranians took to the streets of Tehran to participate in the official funeral of the Iranian general, considered in Iran by many to be a true national hero for his action against the Islamic State Daesh organization in Iraq and Syria and for preventing this group from hitting Iran. In the crowd we saw people coming with family or friends, young or old people barely able to walk, but all asked for the same thing: revenge against the United States.

On Sunday evening, several hundred thousand people accompanied his coffin in the holy city of Qom. Already on Saturday identical crowds had gathered in the Arabic-speaking city of Ahvaz, in the extreme southwest of the country and then in the holy city of Machhad in the northeast at the Afghan border and high place of pilgrimage for the Moslems Shiites.

After these mourning ceremonies in Iran, and before that in Iraq, now comes the hour of action for Iranian officials who have promised to risk military action by the United States through military action. Several Iranian officials have said that the real revenge is to force the United States to leave the entire region. The end of the harmful presence of the United States in the region has already started, said the head of diplomacy, Mohammad Javad Zarif in a tweet.

What the US has accomplished in its terrorist assassination of anti-ISIS heroes is to unleash global anti-US fury and a worldwide rancor — on a scale not seen in recent memory.
