Oil prices soaring Middle East tensions worried Jan 13 13:07

In Iraq's capital, Baghdad, Iran's elite troops, the commander of the Revolutionary Guard, have been attacked and killed. The U.S. Department of Defense acknowledged the attack, and tensions are growing between the United States and Iran. This has led to a sharp rise in crude oil prices.

In the London market, the price of North Sea crude oil rose sharply by about 4% compared to the time immediately before the attack, and temporarily rose to around $ 69 per barrel.

In addition, WTI futures prices in the New York market have temporarily recorded a sharp increase of nearly 4%, at the barrel of the high $ 63 level.

In the market, tensions in the Middle East have surged in the wake of this U.S. military attack, raising concerns that crude oil supplies in this region may be significantly affected.
