Four staffs wear 200 million yen extra clothes Yamanashi Tsuru credit union order for business improvement December 23 17:36

The Kanto Finance Bureau issued a business improvement order to the Tsuru Credit Union in Yamanashi Prefecture on August 23, calling for establishment of an internal management system.

At the Tsuru Credit Union, which has its head office in Yamanashi Prefecture, it became clear that four staff members, including former branch managers, had been dressing for about 200 million yen one after another. Nevertheless, they did not report to the regulatory agency, Kofu Finance Office.

On this issue, the Kanto Finance Bureau issued an order to improve operations under the Banking Law to the Tsuru Credit Union on Tuesday, arguing that there was insufficient awareness of internal control systems and compliance with laws and regulations regarding inappropriate business.

The order requires the Kanto Finance Bureau to submit a business improvement plan by the end of next month to establish internal management systems, ensure strict administrative procedures, and foster a sense of compliance among executives and employees.
