Renfe has had to cancel a total of 271 AVE and medium and long distance trains for the new strike called by the CGT union between 00.00 and 23.00 on Friday .
According to the resolution of minimum services approved by the Ministry of Development, that day will circulate 361 AVE and long-distance trains , 90% of the 400 initially scheduled. Passengers affected by the 39 cancellations of this type of train will be about 12,085 .
On the other hand, 402 of the 634 trains planned will be maintained in medium distance services, 63% of the total. Passengers affected by the 232 cancellations will be about 16,146 .
In commuter trains the minimums are based on the different cores, lines and time slots, varying the percentage between a maximum of 75% at peak hours and 50% of the usual service in the rest of the day in Cercanías Madrid (65% and 46%, respectively, in the rest of the cores).
With respect to freight trains, a percentage of 20% of the usual service is established. Thus, 63 convoys of the total of 313 scheduled trains will circulate .
For commercial service travelers whose train is not included in the minimum services, Renfe offers, whenever possible, travel on another train at the closest time to the one purchased . However, if they do not wish to travel, the affected travelers can cancel or change their ticket for another date at no cost.
