She explained, for "Emirates Today", that the demand will focus, during the current and next two years, on new residential, commercial and tourist projects, which will enter the local market to keep pace with the activities of the upcoming exhibition, in addition to the supply operations of the pavilions and facilities at the event site.

In detail, the commercial director of "Gulf Extrusions Company", Dr. Hossam Mahmoud, said: "There are positive effects for the Expo 2020 Dubai exhibition on the demand for aluminum products in the state markets, in order to keep pace with the supply to the projects that entered the market in preparation for the upcoming exhibition," expected " The growth of demand by more than 20% at the end of this year ».

He added, "It is expected that the next year will witness growth rates in the demand for aluminum products, with rates ranging between 30 and 40%, as companies that implement new residential, commercial and tourism projects receive these products before the start of the event."

Mahmoud explained that «the expected increase in demand for aluminum products in large proportions, during the next year, is also due to the procurement operations of (Expo 2020), by supplying to companies that implement the exhibition booths or various facilities and buildings, which will be set up at the exhibition site, Especially since the supply of aluminum products comes in the final stages of construction and erection of facilities.

He pointed out that "the great demand for aluminum products that enter into important parts of buildings and towers, especially the facades, will appear significantly during the first half of next year, with the intensity of the projects that the developed companies are seeking to complete quickly, before the exhibition."

New contracts

Mahmoud stated that «(Gulf Extrusions) contracted to supply aluminum products to the Australian Pavilion (Expo 2020), while discussions are underway to agree to supply to the wings of other countries during the coming period.

And that «the company's production currently reaches 70 thousand tons annually, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi factories», pointing out that «there are plans being studied to raise production operations by rates between 15 and 20%, during the next year», pointing out that «60 % Of production operations are supplied to the domestic market, while 40% are directed to export to foreign markets, including Gulf and Asian countries.

He stated that «the company worked on implementing expansion plans, which it started this year, to complete next year, most notably the expansion in exports to markets such as Canada, Australia, and England», adding that «the company intends to expand in African markets, during the next year, including the market Egyptian ».

Supply to car companies

The commercial director of the "Gulf Extrusions" company, Dr. Hossam Mahmoud, said that "the company supplies aluminum parts to 28 car production factories in 11 countries," noting that "(Mercedes), (Range Rover), (Jaguar), (Mini) Cooper and Maserati are the main brands of car manufacturers the company supplies to.

Mahmoud added that (Gulf Extrusions) supplies about four million pieces annually of its products to car production companies, pointing out that the company signed agreements related to supplying important parts in batteries that are used in electric cars in international brands.

He stated that «the company has finally completed a new project to produce a piece of aluminum that is placed in the chassis of (Jaguar) cars from the brand (Jaguar), where discussions are currently being conducted in the final steps, to start supplying those parts during the next year, with an estimated 7000 tons annually ».
