The European countries sitting on the UN Security Council say that Iran is developing "nuclear-capable ballistic missiles", against the UN's resolution on the Tehran nuclear deal, passed in 2015.

Iran castigates European countries

The document is based on images released on social networks in April last Shahab-3 medium-range ballistic missiles, which can be equipped with nuclear warheads. The Iranian Foreign Minister immediately reacted on Twitter and lambasted the European countries, accusing them of spreading a lie.

For him, these missiles are completely legal because they would not be nuclear missiles. The United States , they decided to leave the Iran nuclear deal in May 2018 as unsatisfactory. They have not reacted yet, but the Trump administration had already mentioned Tehran's progress on the issue.

They could decide in two weeks, at a scheduled meeting on Iran . Last year, they urged the Security Council to ban Iranian missiles that could be converted into nuclear weapons. And to maintain the embargo that must end normally in 2020.
