Tokyo Foreign Exchange Market Yen Market Price Increase December 18th 18:15
The Tokyo foreign exchange market on the 4th and the yen exchange rate rose to the mid-108 yen range.
The yen exchange rate at 5 pm was 48 yen from 1 dollar = 108.47 yen, a 62 yen yen appreciation against the dollar compared to the previous day. Compared to the previous day, the euro fell by 68 yen against the euro, 1 euro = 120.15 yen to 19 yen. The euro was 1 dollar = 1.1077 to $ 78 against the dollar.
Market officials said, “The view that the United States might raise additional tariffs on imports from China has spread among investors, and there has been a move to sell dollars. “A Chinese lawmaker who has been involved in human rights violations in China has been asked to trigger sanctions, but China is repelling, raising concerns about the US-China conflict in the market.”
