The head of state spoke about his last conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the parties touched on gas transit.

“We discussed that the year is ending, and we need to all agree on signing a new long-term gas agreement, a transit agreement. This is a priority for us, and not only for Ukraine - it is energy security for all of Europe, ”Zelensky said.

On November 25, the Kremlin reported that Putin and Zelensky had a telephone conversation during which they discussed gas issues, including the continuation of transit and the resumption of direct deliveries of Russian gas.

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Alexey Orzhel also called the signing of a gas transit contract until the end of 2019 a priority for Kiev.
