Earlier, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak admitted that gas supplies through the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline could begin before 2020.

He noted that this technical issue “is tied not only to the completion of the pipe, but also to commissioning”, which is the competence of the operator of the Nord Stream 2 project “to a greater extent”.

On October 30, Denmark was granted permission to lay Nord Stream 2 on the country's continental shelf.
