The Tokyo foreign exchange market on the 20th and the yen exchange rate rose slightly.
The yen exchange rate at 5 pm was 1 dollar = 108.43 yen to 44 yen with a 23 yen yen appreciation against the dollar compared to the 19th.
Compared to the 19th, the euro fell by 26 yen against the euro, 1 euro = 120 yen 1 to 5 yen.
The euro was 1 euro = 1.1068-69 dollars against the dollar.
Market officials said, “While protests continue in Hong Kong, the US Senate Senate passed a bill to support the establishment of human rights and democracy in Hong Kong, and the move to sell dollars due to concerns about the intensifying conflict between the United States and China. However, it was reported that a senior US government official was optimistic about the future of the US-China trade negotiations, and the range of price movements was limited.
