On November 18, Gazprom announced that they had sent Naftogaz a proposal to extend the contract or enter into a new one on gas transit. A mandatory condition was the mutual rejection of the claims of the parties in the courts.
The Ukrainian company confirmed the receipt of the proposal and promised that a constructive response would be presented in the near future.
Later, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Alexey Orzhel said that the proposal of Gazprom is unacceptable.
