It is reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that today more than 2,100 kilometers of the gas pipeline have been laid, and in the coming weeks preparatory work and pipe laying near Denmark will begin.

The company said that Nord Stream 2 AG has received permission to build Nord Stream-2 in the Danish Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) southeast of Bornholm Island.

The gas pipeline route section is 147 kilometers.

“The pipe laying was completed in the waters of Russia, Finland and Sweden, as well as mostly in the waters of Germany. Work on both coastal areas is nearing completion, ”the company said.

On October 30, it became known that the Danish Energy Agency issued a permit to lay the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline on the continental shelf of the country.

Earlier, Deputy Head of Gazprom’s Foreign Economic Affairs Department Dmitry Handoga spoke about the procedure for Denmark to issue permission to build a section of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. According to him, before the permission to lay the gas pipeline issued by Denmark comes into force, a certain period must pass, during which it is possible to appeal this decision.

The head of the German Wintershall Dea, Mario Meren, on Rossiya 24 television channel, said that the companies participating in the Nord Stream-2 project expect to receive permission from Denmark to lay a gas pipeline by the end of the year.
