About the Second Digital Dividend

The change in DTT frequencies occurs as a result of the so-called Second Digital Dividend, which must be released before June 30, 2020, by European mandate, the 700 MHz band of the radio spectrum to allow the deployment of future networks 5G telecommunications.

This process implies that some 850,000 community buildings throughout Spain must adapt their collective DTT signal reception systems. In addition, viewers will have to re-tune their televisions in order to continue enjoying the full television offer.

This change does not imply the appearance or disappearance of channel channels: they simply shift frequencies. Nor does it mean the obsolescence of televisions or DTT decoders. More information can be found both at www.televisiondigital.es and telephone numbers 901201004 and 910889879.
