Emirates has announced a shift in its Middle East, Far East, Europe and Skywards business operations to enhance its capabilities to better serve its customers across its global network and respond flexibly to opportunities in various markets.
The new transfers reflect the airline's commitment to giving UAE nationals greater opportunities to develop and acquire new experiences, as well as to benefit from the experiences gained through their work in other departments and regions of the airline.

Capacity Development

Appointments take effect
The following appointments and changes will take effect from 1 November. The appointments included:
Khaled Al-Haddad is currently Vice President of Commercial Operations in Saudi Arabia and will become Vice President of Skywards Members and Operations. Khaled joined Emirates' team in 2003 as Commercial Manager and held a number of positions in 2009 as Director of Emirates in Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal and in 2012 as Director of Sharjah and Northern Emirates.
Mohammed Al Nahari Al Hashimi, Director of Corporate Sales in the UAE, will be the Vice President of Commercial Operations in Saudi Arabia. Mohammed holds an MBA from London Business School and has 15 years of business and international experience with Emirates.
3 - Abdullah Zamani, is the Director of Emirates in Malaysia and will be the Director of Emirates in Indonesia. Abdulla joined the Emirates team in 2008 and has held a number of positions in India, Bangladesh and elsewhere. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah.
4 - Rashid Alardah, is the Director of Emirates in Indonesia, and will be the Director of Emirates in Singapore. Rashid started his career at Emirates in 2006 as a trainee and has held roles in six countries including Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Sudan.
Mohammed Al Attar is the Director of Emirates in Cyprus and will be the Director of Emirates in Malaysia. He has a degree in Business Administration from the American University of Sharjah and a Master of Science in Innovation and Change Management from Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University.
Mohamed Al-Wehidi, currently a Commercial Manager in Myanmar, will be Emirates' Vietnam Manager. Mohammed joined the Emirates team in 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Griffith University in Australia.
7 - Haitham Al-Batawi, Director of Emirates in Vietnam, and will be Director of Emirates in Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia. Haytham joined Emirates' team in 2006 as Commercial Manager and held a number of management positions in Oman, Iraq, Egypt and elsewhere. He holds a master's degree in strategic marketing from the University of Wollongong in Dubai.
8 - Talal Al Gergawi, Director of Commercial Support in Sudan and will be the Director of Emirates in Cambodia. In his previous position, he managed the airline's sales and operations in the country and maintained its market performance amid difficult economic conditions.
9 - Mohammed Al Qasim, Director of Commercial Support in Bangkok and will be the Director of Emirates in Cyprus. Mohammed joined the Emirates team in 2016 and holds a BA in Business, Logistics and Supply Management. He has three years experience in banking, banking risk management and VIP account management. He trained at the Amman Station in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and served as Director of Trade Support in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.
Mr. Khalid Hassan is currently Director of Business Analysis for the Far East. He rejoined the Emirates team in 2010 as the UAE's regional holiday manager and was appointed Director in Zambia in 2012 and in Bangladesh in 2013.
Omar Al Banna is the Director of Emirates Airlines in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah and will be the Corporate Sales Manager in Dubai.
12. Asma Al Rahma is currently the Director of Business Analysis and will be the Director of Skywards.
