“I confirm that the price of imported gas for Ukraine can be 20% lower. And for this it’s not even necessary to conclude a contract between Gazprom and Naftogaz, or another Ukrainian company, ”he wrote on his Facebook.

According to Vitrenko, to reduce the price, it is necessary that the Russian company "does not abuse its dominant position in the European market."

He added that, in order to reduce prices, Gazprom does not need to refuse European companies to transfer gas transmission points to the Russian-Ukrainian border. He also believes that Gazprom should offer swap contracts to other Russian gas producers, “taking gas from them inside Russia and returning it to the border” with Ukraine.

Earlier, Miller said that with direct supplies, the price of gas for consumers in Ukraine could be 20% lower.
