The Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) today celebrated its eighth ranking among the best international financial centers by ringing the opening bell of Nasdaq Dubai. The Center was ranked eighth in the list of the top 10 financial centers globally according to the «Global Financial Centers Index», thus achieving the highest rating ever recorded by the results of the latest index.

"It is a great honor for all of us to open the NASDAQ Dubai trading market in celebration of Dubai's ranking as one of the top 10 financial centers globally, an achievement that is in line with our constant interest in creating an enabling environment," DIFC Governor Issa Kazim said in a statement. “It supports financial institutions to continue to thrive.”

“This achievement highlights Dubai's prestigious position as a leading global business hub, and reflects DIFC's excellence as a growing global financial powerhouse and is a testament to the tremendous growth we have achieved over the past 12 months,” added Kazim.

"The financial sector is the cornerstone of the UAE's fast-growing economy. The DIFC is a key attraction for international business and investment," he said.
