Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has announced the launch of a new service for visitors from China, one of the emirate's main markets.
This service is available through the We Tax Refund platform on the WeChat software of the Chinese technology company Tencent, with the support of Planet, a global company specializing in the field of electronic payment.
This initiative supports the Dubai Ready to Receive Chinese Visitors strategy. Chinese visitors will be able to reimburse the tax in Chinese currency using WeChat before leaving the airport.
