- Trade war: Trump resumes negotiations with China
The talks between the US and China on account of the trade war that both powers have been holding for months could have reached a point of distension on Friday, after reaching a partial agreement to establish a truce that would lay the foundations for a broader pact at the end this year, according to Bloomberg.
As part of the agreement, China would agree with some agricultural concessions and the United States would provide some tariff relief. The pact would still be in a very embryonic phase and, therefore, could be subject to change as Trump prepares to sit with China's vice premier, Liu He, during this day.
