He told Emirates Today, on the sidelines of the GITEX Technology Week, which concluded in Dubai yesterday, that the initiative transforms mobile phones into smart digital wallets for personal documents such as identity, driver's licenses and residence visas. The initiative's new system was developed in collaboration with Dubai Smart and the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority. He stressed that the launch of «documents» initiative will allow customers more ease in the completion of transactions and save time and effort, and is a new stage for the development of digital identity project.

He pointed out that the system will allow customers to open bank accounts through the use of mobile phones, and the use of documents loaded with the digital identity signature, noting that cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and the Central Bank of the UAE, and the Union of Emirates Banks, on the financial transactions provided by the initiative.
