On Monday, October 14, the commercialization of trips for the Imserso Tourism Program will begin for the next season in which some 900,000 people will participate.

This Social Tourism Program will start the sale of places in a phased manner according to the Autonomous Community of residence of the applicants.

In this way, Andalucía, Comunidad Valenciana, Cantabria, Extremadura, Madrid, Melilla and Murcia will launch their offer on October 14, 15 and 16, the day on which the rest of the Autonomous Communities and Cities will begin until the 18th of the same month.

Thus, on October 16, 17 and 18 will open places in Asturias, Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Ceuta, Galicia, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, La Rioja, Navarra and the Basque Country.

People who had requested destinations in the Imserso Tourism Program in the first phase have begun to receive the accreditation as of Wednesday, September 25 , which will allow them to book and purchase tickets for these destinations, at authorized travel agencies or at the websites of the winning companies, as of the day indicated in the notification.

Specifically, on these dates the sale of tickets begins in the Halcón and Ecuador agencies , in franchises and in the Geomoon partner agencies. Each accredited user will have one of the three days assigned to choose the desired dates.

1 million beneficiaries

About 900,000 people will participate in the program during the season . The price of the packages varies depending on the destination and the duration of the stay, between four and 15 days. 65% of pensioners participating in the Imserso travel program have a pension of less than 1,050 euros per month.

As a novelty, this year the program has a reserve of 1% of subsidized places at 50% for people who have economic resources equal to or less than non-contributory retirement or disability pensions of the Social Security system.

In total, the Imserso Social Tourism Program for the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons amounts to 1.14 million euros, of which 20.39% is from the Imserso contribution and 79.61% of The beneficiaries.
