“According to the head of Rosatom State Corporation, the first power unit is in the highest degree of technical readiness,” the department said.
It is noted that the parties worked out "decisions on further cooperation on putting into operation the first power unit and continuing the construction of the second power unit."
In early April, Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took part in the video conference by officially starting the construction of Akkuyu NPP.
