According to RIA Novosti, after trilateral consultations on gas in the Russia-EU-Ukraine format, Novak said that Moscow’s position is that relations should be resolved “according to the zero option” and “within the framework of an amicable agreement”.

“The zero option is the absence of mutual claims from the financial point of view,” the head of the Ministry of Energy explained.

On September 19, trilateral gas transit negotiations were held in Brussels with the participation of representatives of Russia, Ukraine and the European Commission.

Commenting on the results of the negotiations, Novak noted that they were constructive.
