For the second night in a row, protests against President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's power took place in Egypt. On Saturday, a demonstration of hundreds of people was dispersed by police in the city of Suez at the entrance of the canal.

According to witnesses, police used tear gas and fired to disperse hundreds of youths who denounced Sissi's corruption of power. In Cairo, and in Alexandria, where demonstrations had taken place the day before, there was an important police presence on all symbolic places, like the famous Tahrir Square.

The protests follow a series of social media videos by Egyptian construction contractor Mohamad Ali, who from Spain denounced corruption and the army's grip on the construction sector and to President Sissi.

His call for "a new revolution" was echoed by opposition chains dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood broadcasting from Turkey. The Egyptian media denounce, for their part, a conspiracy from abroad to destabilize the country.
