After the announcement last spring of the abolition of 1,600 positions in its branch "investment banking", Societe Generale announces new cuts in its workforce, this time in its business "retail banking". Société Générale will eliminate 530 positions by 2023, including 170 at headquarters and 360 in back office centers. The centers of Saint-Quentin and Viry-Chatillon will be closed. Another will be open in Arceuil. The job cuts will be done without redundancy or forced departure. The branch network is not affected by these measures.
