“On Thursday morning, Vice Chair Shefchovich will hold a first bilateral meeting with the Ukrainian delegation, and then a bilateral meeting with the Russian delegation,” the EC representative quoted TASS as saying.

Shefchovic is expected to hold a press conference following tripartite negotiations.

Earlier, the Vice President of the European Commission for the Energy Union said that the EC would like to ensure that the supply of Russian gas to EU countries through Ukraine remains in the long term.

On September 11, Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk announced that negotiations with Russia on the issue of gas transit are expected to be difficult.
