Emmanuel Macron set a target on Tuesday that France has by 2025 "25 unicorns", unlisted companies in the tech valued more than a billion dollars.

Major French institutional investors, bankers and insurers, will invest 5 billion euros over three years in young companies in growth of the technology sector, said Tuesday the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron at the Elysée, in front of a parterre entrepreneurs and investors.

These funds will be placed in "French funds specialized in technology," said Emmanuel Macron, which has set a goal that France has by 2025 "25 unicorns", unlisted companies of the technology valued more than one billion dollars.
