BOJ Tomorrow Monetary Policy Meeting September 17th, 6:19
The BOJ will hold a monetary policy decision meeting on the 18th and 19th to discuss immediate policy responses.
The European Central Bank decided to cut interest rates for the first time in three and a half years this month, and the US Federal Reserve FRB = Federal Reserve Board will cut the rate further in the early morning of Japan time just before the BOJ's policy decision. The chances of deciding are increasing.
As monetary easing moves around the world, the BOJ has also announced its policy to make additional monetary easing as needed at the last July meeting.
At the two-day meeting, the BOJ will check the current state of the economy and carefully discuss the future of the effects of the consumption tax rate increase coming next month on the economy and decide on the immediate policy response. The
