The Commercial Court of Evry examines Monday, September 16, the takeover offers of the airline Aigle Azur. The unions seem divided on the buyers.

Two takeover offers have the support of the Aigle Azur Works Council, which issued an advisory opinion before the hearing at the Commercial Court.

This is the proposal of Lionel Guérin, the former CEO of Hop !, a subsidiary of Air France and that of Gerard Houa, the minority shareholder of Aigle Azur. These offers, which are part of a judicial reorganization should allow, according to the CFDT, to safeguard the maximum number of jobs. The problem is that none of these two files has at the moment proved the financing.

Easyjet has the preference of the SNPL

Conversely, it is a third offer, that of Easyjet, which would be preferred by SNPL, the national union of pilots. The British low-cost airline is interested in taking over the Aigle Azur slots at Paris-Orly airport. But his interest is only five or six aircraft and the corresponding personnel, on the 11 aircraft that the company currently owns.

Some 1,150 people are employed by Aigle Azur, including 800 in France, and 350 in Algeria.

The commercial court could decide in favor of one of the offers. But it can also decide on a judicial liquidation, for lack of satisfactory offer of recovery.
