The electronics manufacturer Sharp has created sports gloves that feel cool and cool. It is appealing that the use of materials that have been developed in research on liquid crystal technology, which is good at suppressing the rise in temperature, will lead to measures against summer heat.

Sharp has developed a material like a cryogen that cools food and is characterized by the ability to freely set the temperature in the range from +28 degrees to minus 24 degrees.

It was developed while researching the liquid crystal technology that Sharp excels at.

Sharp has used this material to create sports gloves that, together with Descente, a major sports equipment manufacturer, feel cool and cool.

Cooling the palm of the hand suppresses the rise in body temperature, so it is effective in combating heat. The company is improving gloves and aiming for commercialization next spring.

Sharp's Deputy General Manager, Yuki Tamura, said, “It is very hot, and heat stroke is a serious social problem. I want to provide it as a solution.”
