Zelensky again called Nord Stream 2 a threat to all of Europe
At a press conference following a meeting with his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinistö, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky said that the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project is a threat to Europe.
As the president noted, expanding cooperation in the energy sector is extremely important for Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine informs.
“We are talking, in particular, about energy-saving technologies. I drew the attention of the President of Finland to the issue of Nord Stream-2, emphasized that this project is a threat to the whole of Europe and its assessment as a purely commercial one may cost our European partners in the future, ”Zelensky said.
He said that he had agreed with Niinistö to intensify economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in the investment sphere.
In August, Zelensky, after negotiations with Polish President Andrzej Duda, also called Nord Stream 2 a threat to Europe.
