The ECB did not change the base rate
The Board of Governors of the European Central Bank (ECB) on Thursday, September 12, decided to keep the base interest rate at a record low of 0%.
At the same time, the interest rate on the deposit will be reduced by 10 basis points to -0.50%.
The regulator’s message also says that starting from November 1, the asset repurchase program in the amount of € 20 billion per month will be in effect again.
Earlier, the Central Bank of Turkey lowered its key rate from 19.75 to 16.5% per annum.
