Japanese business representatives visiting China today, meeting with Chinese government leaders, September 10 6:40
A delegation from the Japan-China Economic Association, with representatives from the Japanese business community, will continue to meet with leaders of the Chinese government in Beijing from the 10th. As Japan-China relations continue to improve, we are calling for cooperation in the fields of electric vehicles and environmental measures to further strengthen economic relations.
The Japan-China Economic Association has dispatched delegations to China almost every year since 1975, and this time around 230 people including representatives from the business community, including Mimura President of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have participated.
The delegation will meet with the economic executives of the Chinese government for a period of three days from the 10th, and the meeting with Chinese leaders such as Prime Minister Lee Keqiang is also being coordinated.
In the series of talks, we will call for cooperation in environmental fields such as the development of technologies for next-generation eco-cars such as electric cars, which are becoming increasingly popular in China, and the reduction of plastic waste, in order to further strengthen economic relationships.
The delegation also wants to confirm the importance of fair and equitable trade, taking into account that the United States and China have repeatedly added taxes on their imports, and that the negative effects on the global economy are spreading.
