Ashin-in Town in Usa City, Oita Prefecture is known as one of the leading grape production areas in West Japan. Every year in September, when the grapes are harvested, the “Wine Festival” is held, attracting 20,000 people.
At the Wine Festival, officials from the Kyongju South Korean friendly city in Usa and tourism officials have set up booths at the venue since 2010 to sell special products and promote tourism.
In fact, seven people from Gyeongju planned to visit the “Wine Festival”, which will be held for two days from the 7th of next month. However, according to Usa City, this month, “This time in consideration of the current situation, "I will not attend the event".
Regarding this, the Usa City Tourism and Community Development Division says, “Because we were connected to each other, it is a pity that we will not be able to come. We will continue to interact as much as possible in the future.”
