According to the publication, in the near future, Sberbank will be able to provide its customers with the ability to pay for purchases using a fingerprint or face image in retail outlets where the corresponding terminals are installed.

To do this, you will need to go through the registration procedure in the store: insert the card into the bioterminal reader, create a password to confirm the operations and provide a biometric sample.

After that, Sberbank customers will be able to pay for purchases both in the traditional way, using a card, and using biometric identification.

This service will be available to those customers of the bank who have previously granted consent to the processing of biometric data.

Earlier, Sberbank introduced a service for withdrawing cash from ATMs using the code from an SMS message.

In July, the newspaper Izvestia wrote that the largest Russian banks plan to expand the experiment of withdrawing cash from cards at cash desks for all regions of the country.
