“The Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, and the Ministry of East Development of Russia, together with the Government of the Sakhalin Region, submit proposals on creating a special tool to boost business in the Kuril Islands, including tax incentives,” the order says on the government’s website.

The term of the order is until September 2.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev expressed the hope that in connection with the creation of the territory of priority development in the Kuril Islands, normal tourist infrastructure will be created there.
