The KEPCO board of directors has suspended the proposal for the reform of the progressive system, which alleviates the burden of electricity bills in the summer, despite the controversy of the deficit on July 21.

KEPCO held a board meeting (professor Kim Tae-yoo, a professor at Seoul National University) at Seocho-gu KEPCO Art Center and conducted a deliberation based on the final recommendation of the Electricity Task Force (TF)

Previously, the Joint Electricity Fee Advancement TF (TF) was proposed as a final recommendation to reduce electricity bills for a limited period of time by expanding the progressive section during summer.

The government's plan to relax the progressive system and implement it from next month is also unclear, as the electricity bill reform plan does not exceed the threshold of the KEPCO board.
