Turkmenistan resumes natural gas supplies to Russia
Turkmenistan, after a three-year hiatus, resumed natural gas supplies to Russia. This was reported by the Turkmen media, information was later confirmed by Gazprom.
“We confirm the resumption of gas purchases in Turkmenistan,” the company told RIA Novosti without specifying the volumes and cost.
According to the information agency Orient, deliveries resumed under the current 25-year contract. At the beginning of 2016, Gazprom Export took a commercial break.
As a possible deadline for the resumption of supplies was called January 1, 2019, but this did not happen.
