Dubai Customs has been awarded the 'Platinum Award' for leadership in corporate corporate responsibility at the 11th Corporate Social Responsibility Summit of 2019, held recently in Malaysia under the theme 'New Age in Community Responsibility'.

Dubai Customs has surpassed 100 candidates for the Grand Prix after 400 regional and international companies competed for the Global Award, which was evaluated by an independent and impartial jury.

The Director of Dubai Customs, Ahmad Mahbub Musabah, said that the department has taken the lead in being a pioneer in the growing development of the social responsibility and sustainability sectors in the Arab and international region. It has succeeded in changing the perspective of regional institutions on the concept of social responsibility, To achieve cohesion and community values.

The Director of Corporate Communication at Dubai Customs, Khalil Saqr Bin Gharib, said that the department carried out 175 community and voluntary initiatives during the past year and 30 initiatives during the first quarter of this year in line with the main objectives of community work. Dubai has launched more than 600 community initiatives over the past three years and has achieved a 90% community happiness.

He added that the winning of the new award came in line with the contributions of Dubai Customs in the field of institutional leadership in social responsibility and its positive impact in all environmental, health, educational and voluntary fields, in addition to innovative projects and initiatives related to community work. In addition to the stakeholders, benefited from the initiatives of the Department.
