A total of 17 Emirati and Emirati entrepreneurs participated in an educational trip to India recently to learn about Indian experiences in social entrepreneurship and acquire the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed to launch and manage innovative projects with a sustainable social and economic impact that serve UAE society.

According to a statement issued yesterday, this trip was part of the training activities accompanying the second edition of the Badri Program for Social Entrepreneurship, launched by the Badri Knowledge and Capacity Building Academy, the educational arm of the Namaa Foundation for the Advancement of Women, last year.

The program, organized in cooperation with the British School of Social Entrepreneurship, is part of the strategic partnership between the Badri Academy and the College, which is the first partnership and expansion of the College in the Arab region. The program seeks to build a new generation of entrepreneurs and Their expertise to become leading women entrepreneurs in the UAE. Businesswomen participating in the second cycle of the program were subjected to a series of interviews and evaluation tests before being selected for the training program, which was launched in March and is being implemented over a period of 10 months. The program focuses on providing participants with the knowledge, practical experience and professional advice of relevant experts, owners and entrepreneurs of social projects that have proven successful in serving the community while achieving sustainable profitability and financial resources.
