The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced an (Asian) suspect to one year in prison and a fine of 367,000 dirhams, after he was found guilty of stealing 367,000 dirhams from an (Asian) woman under duress, after she had drawn into a business deal and then abused her with others, while the court acquitted another defendant in the case (Arabic) His (Asian) girlfriend works for the victim.

The victim said in the police inference report and the investigations of the Public Prosecution in Dubai that she got acquainted with the first accused and agreed with him to establish a business, so it was agreed to meet her in the Oud Al-Muteena area, and she came to the place on the specified date at noon on July 23, accompanied by her secretary, the "third defendant." Her vehicle was parked in public parking, waiting for his presence, with 367,000 dirhams in a plastic bag.

She added that the accused attended and got into the car, and was accompanied by two people, and asked her to move towards the office to sign the agreement, but before reaching the highway, I was surprised by one of the two people withdrawing the money from her friend's hand, then he opened the car door and they all fled.

For her part, the third defendant said that she worked for the victim as a secretary for a year, and before the crime happened she told her that she wanted to exchange a dirham currency for a dollar, so she asked her to give her a few minutes and called her friend the second accused and asked him if he had someone who could change the currency at a good price, so he gave her the accused number The first, pointing out that she called the latter and set an appointment with him, and went with the victim with a plastic bag containing the amount.

She added that the defendant got into the car and then summoned two other people, one of them an Asian and the other African, as they are the ones concerned with ending the deal, and they all sat in the back seat, and suddenly the African person snatched the bag and ran away. The victim, the police, and her friend, the Arab mediator, were listed as other defendants in the case, but the criminal court acquitted them.

Lawyer Muhammad Al-Awami Al-Mansoori, the attorney of the second accused, has argued that it was not proven in any of the case papers that the second accused had any role in the crime, or his relationship with the people who stole the money, and his role was limited to helping guide the victim to a means of exchanging money, so the court ruled his innocence.
