On September 7, the MiG-29 also escorted the R.1 Sentinel reconnaissance aircraft of the British Air Force over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea.
In addition, earlier in the day, it was reported that a MiG-31 had intercepted an Orion patrol aircraft of the Norwegian Air Force over the Barents Sea.
