“Initiatives are not born out of thin air. In 2019, more than 85 thousand calls came to us, 27% more than a year earlier. They give us a cut of the most acute problems and pain points in the country. And the picture is complemented by work with regional children's ombudsmen, ”Kuznetsova said in an interview with the Parliamentary Newspaper.

According to her, the law on commissioners for the rights of the child in Russia gave the right to "send motivated proposals to the State Duma."

About 50 initiatives have already been submitted, the Ombudsman emphasized.

“Now, together with the Federation Council, we are working on a bill on large families. A working group has been formed to prepare amendments to the law on orphans, a package of proposals for their post-boarding support has been prepared, ”Kuznetsova added, noting that President Vladimir Putin has already commissioned the development of additional state support measures in the field of education for orphans.

As it became known earlier, the number of appeals to the Commissioner for Children's Rights, Anna Kuznetsova, increased by 27.2% in 2019.
