Georgian authorities intend to initiate a ban on LGBT propaganda and gender reassignment. The ruling Georgian Dream party is initiating amendments to the Constitution.
The new law will also prohibit campaigns aimed at promoting same-sex intimate relationships, incest, adoption or guardianship of a minor. The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) plans to “help” Georgian authorities protect the rights and “improve the lives” of vulnerable groups, including members of the LGBTQI+ community.
