In a criminal case, especially in the trial of a sex crime suspect, whether or not to reflect is one of the main sentencing criteria.

As a result, there are people who do not properly pay for their sins through formal apologies and false self-reflection.

From a few years ago, even an internet site that tells you how to do this has been prevalent, and we will accuse the perpetrators and helpers of blinding the court over two days from today (the 2nd).

First of all, I am Reporter Park Se-won.

Mr. A was sexually harassed by his boss 4 years ago.

He suffered from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder and has been receiving treatment at the hospital.

After thinking about it, he sued the perpetrator and brought it to trial, but the court of first instance sentenced him to eight months in prison and two years of probation.

What made Mr. A more difficult than the sentence was the reason for the sentencing.

Even though he said he was not forgiven by the victim, he pointed out that the accused was deeply reflecting on his wrongdoing.

[Mr. A/Victim: I didn't understand this part the most.

'I'm deeply reflecting on my mistakes' I'm sorry to the victim, I didn't even come up with an apology or a letter of reflection.]

After the prosecution appealed, something more absurd happened.

The perpetrators all responded by submitting five sentencing reference materials, which included a certificate of sexual harassment prevention education, a certificate of volunteer service, and even a pledge for organ donation in addition to the usual documents such as a letter of apology and a petition.

Among these, the organ donation pledge was made a month after the first trial sentence, and it was a sham with different names written in the names and signatures.

[Mr. A/Victim: This is absurd.

My name is ○○○ on the organ donation and XXX is written here.

I'm not sure if I wrote it or not.

But there is another manager of our company named XXX.

What is this again?] The

second trial judge also dismissed the appeal, citing "the degree of indecent conduct is heavy" but "the fact that he deeply regrets and reflects on his mistakes in court."

[Mr. A/Victim: I am my life and everything has been ruined because of this, but you keep saying sorry only to the judge.

How can this be sincere reflection on the victim, deeply regretful reflection?]
