A (21) Yonsei University School of Medicine student A (21), who was arrested for breaking into the women's bathroom on campus and secretly filming female students with a cell phone, was found to have committed similar crimes dozens of times before.



At the first trial held today (8th), the Seoul Western District Court's 6th Criminal Division (Chief Judge Gong Seong-bong) said, "The accused broke into the women's restroom on the first floor of Yonsei University College of Medicine 4 times from June 17 to July 4 this year. We secretly filmed the victims a total of 32 times.”



In response, Mr. A's lawyer said, "I acknowledge the fact of the prosecution and reflect on it."



Mr. A also replied, "I agree with the lawyer's opinion."



Earlier, on the last day of the crime, on the 4th of last month, A was urgently arrested as a current offender by the police who received a report of a victim.



At the time, he was known to have been hiding in the women's bathroom.



In the subsequent police investigation, Mr. A said that he had mistakenly entered the bathroom by mistake, and it is said that he denied the allegation.



After confirming the charges, the police who conducted the cell phone forensic applied for an arrest warrant, and the court issued a warrant for Mr. A on the 7th of last month.



The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office, who took over the case, handed over Mr. A to trial on the 19th of the same month.



The next trial will be held on the 28th of next month at 11:20 am.
