“Just over six weeks ago, the WHO received notification of a cluster of three cases of monkeypox in the UK without any travel outside the UK.

Since then, we have received reports of more than 3,200 confirmed cases and one death from 48 countries, ”the agency quotes the head of WHO.

On June 23, the World Health Network (WHA) announced that monkeypox had officially been declared a pandemic.

According to the WHA, there are currently 3,417 confirmed cases of monkeypox in 58 countries around the world.
