Yes, I am in the integrated control room of the Donghae City Hall.

The East Sea region's wildfire, today (6th), has entered a calming state to some extent as a large fire is caught around private houses.

There are still fires deep in the mountains, but except for this, the rest of the area is cleaning up the remaining fires.

Currently, in Donghae City, large flames remain in some areas such as Sinheung-dong and Bicheon-dong.

Donghae City said the evolution rate was 50%.

Forest officials predict that the spread of forest fires will be minimal unless strong winds blow overnight.

In particular, it is an analysis that most of the wildfires around private houses, which citizens were worried about, have completed extinguishing, so the possibility of fires entering private houses like yesterday is very small.

This time, the East Sea wildfire suffered damage as a fire from Okgye, Gangneung, entered a private house.

Unable to prevent the wildfire from spreading to private houses, 71 buildings in Mangsang, Bugok, Dongho, and Mukho were completely burned, and 25 buildings suffered partial damage.

It has also been found that the Gangwon-do monument Donghae Eodalsan Bongsudae and the temple Hyangunam Beopdong were burned down.

Donghae City estimates that the forest damage caused by the fire is 2,300 ha.

Displaced people occurred as an evacuation order was issued in some areas. Currently, most of them have returned home, and only 37 victims whose houses were burned are using the Mangsang Railway Training Center as temporary accommodation.

The city of Donghae was concentrating on building a defense line to protect private houses in the firefighting process, but as the fire spread greatly due to strong winds, it was difficult to extinguish.

The fact that firefighting power was dispersed due to wildfires in various parts of Gangwon-do is also considered to be a more difficult point to extinguish.

On the other hand, 60-year-old A, who was charged with causing large-scale wildfires in Okgye and the East Sea of Gangneung by setting fires in three places, including his house, with a torch, was arrested today.
