This time, let's go to Uljin, North Gyeongsang, where the large wildfire first started.

Reporter Youngjae Hong, let me know.

I am now near a private house in Onyang-ri, Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

If you look behind me, you can see a private house that was charred by the fires of Uljin-gun that started the day before (the 4th) and even the roof collapsed.

The fires in Uljin-gun had subsided due to the night-time firefighting work that was carried out overnight, but the fire department said that the fire is expanding again in some areas this morning.

As the flames expand again, around 6:50 am, 51 helicopters are also put in again.

Fortunately, the wind is expected to weaken somewhat from today, so it seems to be effective in extinguishing fire.

Yesterday, as the wind grew stronger, the flames went south again to Uljin-eup and Jukbyeon-myeon, where there are many private houses, and so far, about 670 residents have moved to nearby evacuation facilities.

In Uljin-gun alone, 700 firefighting personnel are sent to the nighttime firefighting work, and we are doing our best to clean up the residual fire so as not to damage nearby private houses.

Earlier, yesterday in Uljin-eup, there was a dizzying situation where the fire spread to a point 10m in front of the gas filling station, but there was even a gas station next to the filling station, so it was a dangerous situation.

Fortunately, the fire was put out late in the afternoon.

In Uljin-gun, about 500 households had a power outage, but now they have been restored, and there was also a communication problem in this area because repeaters and lines of telecommunication companies were burned due to a fire.

Also, here in Uljin, there is the Hanul Nuclear Power Plant, so it is impossible to let go of our hearts for even a moment.

Currently, the dangerous situation of wildfires spreading to the nuclear power plant has been avoided, and we are cleaning up residual fires around the nuclear power plant to prevent further accidents.
